..... July 2011 NEWSFLASH --- Planned puppies --- click here for more info! .....
This spot is for my favourite photo of the moment, subject to regular change!
This is Bobby.
He is a Pyrenean Sheepdog, Born 7th March 2007.

Surveying his new domain!
Enjoying the early evening sunshine with Dylan (14yo chinese crested) and Koko (2yo Bearded collie)
Bobbys 1st w/e with me. We visit a classic VW show, camping in my campervan just one night. Bob enjoys meeting lots of people and in the evening he sits with me in the marquee, listening to the band and watching all the lights, he wasn't fazed at all.
All the excitement and interesting new things makes for a tired puppy.
Bob in a box, he likes to be in there too.
What a wally in the footwell !
1st time at an agility show, (age 9.5wks).
Puppy party in the area around my camper. With Brock (border terrier) and Mist (beardieXborder collie)
Today, aged 10wks 2days, Bobby did his first sit and down without having to follow my hand, I'm really pleased with him. Hopefully we can build-up to include stand, watch and other commands.
Bobby is also doing a really lovely fetch, great recall, and running with me, as well as the agility tunnel that's just in the garden all the time.

I think I may need to buy a proper camera, as the one on my phone isn't good enough to get action shots, considering it's really difficult to get Bob to stay still for any lenth of time I'm surprised I've managed to get any photos!
11 wks old.
This w/e we were at a dog show near Derby, the weather was hot so lots of silver sheets were needed. Bob was well behaved (bar a couple of 'garden escapes'!). Chip always takes a good photo, so here's one with him and Bob -
The best part of the w/e was meeting up with other PSD owners and dogs.

Below is a pic of Bob with his beautiful half-sister (same dad) Paris, aged 7.5 months. It was great to watch them playing together.

Quincy wasn't so keen on Bob, but she'd had a long hot day when they met.
More games with his favorite border terrier, Brock.
Click here for video of Bobby and Parys playing.
This weekend we were at Thames agility show, Bobby had a good play with Spot the cavalier king charles spaniel puppy.

We also met PSD Zoë and Virginia Harry. Zoë wasn't bothered either way about meeting Bob, but Bob was really glad to meet Virginia, and I think (like everyone else) she liked him!
It was a bit wet on fridays walk (aged 13 wks 2 days) -
RVA agility show at the East Of England County Show, 15-17/06/07. Bobby aged 14 wks 3 days.

It's funny how many pyreneans you spot when you're looking! I spotted Ronnie from a distance and went to meet her, we went back to my 'garden' where Ronnie and Bob had a really nice play. Ronnie is a 1yo Rambauds pup.
15 wks 3 days.
      I really like this photo!
Click here for video of Bobby and Ronnie playing.
15 wks 3 days. More fun in the car.
15 wks 6 days.
I went on a walk today (tues 26 June) with several work colleages, some with dogs, some not. It was 3 miles so a bit far for Bob to walk all the way, everyone thought it was quite odd that I carried him, when I say to Bob "need a lift" I've taught him to leap up at me, everyone thought that was very funny too! He got on well with the other dogs and people, and really enjoyed the morning.
Bobbys 1st ever rosette!
Aged 16 wks Bobby passed his Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Assessment   :-)
July 1st – 7th 2007.
We went in my VW campervan to Cornwall with Chip and Bobby. The weather wasn’t great most of the week, Thursday was the worst, like we were in a cloud all day, Friday was the only real ‘beach weather’ day, so we made to most of that.
A short and scenic journey on the Looe to Liskeard train, following the Looe river valley.
On the end of East Looe pier.
A trip to Lizard Point, A really lovely place, and the village of Lizard is nice too, and a great campsite to stay at.
Right down beside the sea.
It was very windy on the southern-most tip of England !!
Everywhere we went there where rocks to climb on. Bobby was very adept at it, while Chip balanced and took things carefully, Bobby looked no different to being on flat land !!
This is near Mullion Harbour.
Finally a beach day! Chip loves playing frisbee, and Bobby was in his element just digging and digging, we paddled in the water but it was too cold to swim so I don’t know if Bob would’ve swum too, Chip did last year.
This week Bobby is mostly teething, he’s also just starting to cock his leg occasionally, and is definitely running-out of ‘puppy licence’ with our other dogs.
14/07/07. Norfolk Agility Festival.
Bobby (18 wks 3 days) with new friend Scampi the german spitz (22 wks).
(If you’ve ever taken a photo with a mobile phone, you’ll know how long the subject has to sit still for, this photo is a miracle!)
I made the long trip to Rambauds kennels at the w/e – 29/07/07.
It was really nice to see so many Pyreneans all together, and to meet and observe.
Bobby also had a really great time and I was very impressed with his reaction to this environment, and his behaviour with other dogs and people.
My thanks go out to Meriel and Colin for there hospitality and to everyone who make me feel so welcome. This may even become an annual ‘pilgrimage’!
Click here to see video of Bobby playing in the stream at Rambauds.
Back at home, we're taking up the old patio and redesigning it a bit, and Bobby was 1st to think the sand was a great place to play around in!
A slightly odd place to want to sleep I thought, but Bob spent several hours under the desk!
Bob on the basket   .   .   .   .   .
Bob in the basket   .   .   .   .   .
Bob really enjoying the basket !
Aged 5 ½ months.
With an important occasion on the horizon it was time for Bob to have a proper bath (he has often jumped in and just sploshed around but this was with shampoo). I think he looks really lovely when wet, small and agile rather than a fluff-ball !!
A semi-dry and crinkly Bobby, he ran round like a mad thing (well, even more of a mad thing than usual) !
Having never worn clothes before I was surprised that Bobby didn't mind them at all.
The big day. My friends wedding at Shaggyfest (aka Vanfest) camper show, an hawaiian theme (all bar the bride) gave the occasion a wonderful fun air, Bobby was excellently behaved. We had a great day and w/e.
6 months     3 weeks.
5th Oct 2007
On Sunday 14th October Jean held a family day. There was Gypsy (Bobs mum), Ria (Bobs granny), Wispa and Rasteau (sister and brother), Izzy and Brill (half sister and brother – from a previous mating, same mum, different dad), also a non-relative, Meg.
It was a really lovely afternoon, we played a few games and generally chatted. It was really nice to see 2 others from Bobby’s litter, the only downer on the afternoon was that Bobby was really horrid, first he attempted to wee in Jeans house (something he’s never done before), then he was jealous over food and me, to the extent that he was fierce toward several of the dogs there, mostly his brother Rasteau, in the end I had to put him away in my van. I hope it’s just a phase we can work through.

Bobby’s relatives.
L-R =
Bobby, Ria (granny), Gypsy (mum), Wispa (sister), Izzy (half-sister), Rasteau (brother), and Brill (half-brother).
After lots of thought I decided it was better for Bobby to come with me to a camping / firework party than stay at home and ‘catch’ paranoia from some of our other dogs. I needn’t have worried. He sat on my knee watching the fireworks go off 50m away, only fidgeting a little for the loudest bangs. He also seemed to like watching the fires, and of course being loved by everyone there. (except Clegg, but especially Kerry.)
My boys -
Dylan (14).     Tigre (11).   Chip (8).   Bobby (8 months).
Bobby, now aged 9 months.
Wow, Bobby passed his Kennel Club Good Citizen tests today (16 Dec) - Bronze and Silver! We've been practicing hard but were a little worried about the 2 minute stay, and how wriggly he is when being examined, but he was very good. We will now work toward the Gold.
I’ve just figured out some software that means it’s easy to cut shapes, so from now on, no boring regular photos!
Ade (on the right) won our new years eve 'Christmas jumper competition', with Brandon coming 2nd, Bobby had fun joining in!
Bobby has decided that this is the place to be when I'm working at home - soft cushion, high up, and most importantly, nearly in my eye-line!
Bobby really likes watching the TV, he prefers people to animals.
Snow at easter! Bobby loved it.
Over the winter we have been training Chip and Koko with a good agility trainer near Cromer, we leave home at 7am, drive 2hrs, train from 9.30-12.30 get fish and chips from Cromer and eat them while walking along the beach at Overstrand, then drive home. It's been really good but today was the last one so I took a few pictures on the beach of Bobby and Koko.
28/04/08. My brother owns a very good camera, capable of taking action shots. So last week he came over and took a load of photos of Bobby’s agility training, and a few others.
Spinning left
Spinning right
A little bit of fun --- waiting ---- and --- jumping together   :-)
  A few jumping   shots
A merged photo of flat out running, I had hoped for the shot in the middle too, but even an SLR camera wasn’t quick enough to catch Bobby!
Seesaw practice
Flat-out running and cornering
Channel weave practice
Running like a thing possessed !
Bobby has been zipping through the tunnel since he was 8 wks old, he loves it.
Bobby and Koko
On the 7th of June Bobby was measured for his height category for agility, he is now officially Medium   :-)
Bad Bobby!
Sitting pretty
On the beach near Sheringham in Norfolk.
On holiday in Cornwall June/July 2008.
Loe Bar is made up of 2 parts; The Loe, which is the largest natural fresh water lake in Cornwall and the Bar, a half mile shingle bank wich seperates the Loe from the sea.
Porthcothan Bay - lots of sand for Chip to play frisbee on, and lots of rocks for Bobby to enjoy, everyone's happy   :-)
Overlooking Bedruthan Steps
Coverack harbour
Lots of large shelving rocks at Treyarnon Bay.
I've just learned how to embed YouTube videos on here, so here's a video update of bits of Bobbys agility training. 6th August 08.

Woooooo !!   I know this is really Bobbys site but since there's a few pics of Chip too I cant help but just say --- CHIP WON !!!   Chip is 9 this December, he is very fast but rolls the poles, he has now averaged a clear round every 2 yrs! He has had a couple of 2nds in 'real' classes and has won a few helter-skelters, but this is the 1st win that counts. We are now in Grade 3.
Bobby will compete at his 1st 2 shows this month at grade 2 because they are already entered, but next year he will also have to compete at grade 3, that'll be a little more challenging!
On Sunday 31st august I was grooming Bobby in the evening and found an odd lump that certainly wasn’t there on Saturday afternoon (our previous grooming session), it was worse the next morning so I took Bobby to the vet who felt it needed investigation, the vet was expecting to find a seed or some foreign object. On Tuesday morning I dropped Bobby off at the vets, then picked him up in the afternoon, the lump/tissue that was removed was sent off for a biopsy as the vet couldn’t find any particular cause. On Thursday I wasn’t happy with the stitches – wound didn’t seem to be healing, so we went back to the vet and had it re-stitched, Bobby has been a lot happier with the new stitches, although not happy about the lampshade he has to wear when not being supervised. The biopsy result showed that it wasn’t anything really horrid (eg-tumour), but we are still none the wiser. We have another appointment at the vets on Friday 12th, hopefully to remove the stitches. If the removal of the lump has seemed to fix it then all ok, if not then we may be referred to a soft tissue expert. Either way it looks like Bobbys entrance to the world of competitive agility may be delayed - our 1st show is this w/e - 13th/14th. This is not a disaster compared to Bobbys heath and wellbeing being compromised.
first stitches and redone stitches.
uplighter impression!
this chair ?   yours ?   oh, but I'm poorly !
Well the stitches are out, and we've had a couple of walks and done a bit of agility practising. The scar is looking ok and Bobby feels good! So far the lump has not re-materialised so (fingers crossed) all is well. We are planning on completing at Five Rivers, so we'll see how that goes!
See our new 'Agility' page for news of Bobbys 1st weekend competing. And all future agility related stuff   :-)
On Saturday 11th October 2008 Jean held another ‘Parbrook Pyrenean family fun day’ now an annual event!

I had been a tad worried about how Bob might behave, not because he is bad, in every other situation over the last year he has been very good, but simply because last year at Jeans do Bobby was horrid – see higher up this page for sordid details! I needn’t have worried though – Bobby was very well behaved, he played for a large part of the afternoon with granny Ria who he loved!
Wispa,     Ria,     Gypsy,         Fun,         Bobby.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to see much of Wispa – she was had not long finished her season so Jean felt it would not be fair to all the dogs to have her around too much, plus we didn’t want any accidents!
I really enjoyed the afternoon, many thanks to Jean for organising everything and to everyone who drove over, Fiona & Fun live 7hrs away!

Wispa,           Fun,           Bobby
Bob was actually tired when we got home from Jeans fun day!
Its amazing what £5 will buy you in a supermarket, for no reason at all (other than the fact it was the end of October) we had a fun evening creating a Halloween outfit for Bobby, 1 pair modified dodgy kids tights, 1 stunning feather boa, 1 odd hat = 1 wally!
Another rare sleeping-Bobby photo!
Enjoying Christmas upwrapping

7th March 2009
21 March 2009. This morning Bobby and I attended a training session with Dawn Weaver, a group of 8 of us receiving 3hrs of tuition. Many thanks to Tony Ryman for organising everything and to Dawn who was excellent. Bobby enjoyed the morning and I learned lots too.
12 April 2009.
Bobby won 2 classes at Norfolk Easter show and moved from grade 3 to grade 4 !!   See agility page for details. Photo was taken during his winning jumping round.
A couple more photos with trophies,
from Wallingford and WAG shows.
In mid-May mums new puppy arrived home, Rookie is a working line Cocker Spaniel. Bobby isn’t too sure about this addition! He seems torn between feeling a bit put-out that he’s not the pup anymore, being a big-boots and bossing the pup around, and playing.
Holiday in Cornwall June/July 2009.
Rookie 6 months, Koko 4.5 yrs, Bobby 2.5 yrs.
Well I've been a bit slack at updating Bobbys website in recent months, here's a few pics to bring us up to date!
Bad Bobby, it gets a bit boring hosing him off 9 days out of 10! He loves rolling and doesn't seem to mind the cold hose, and he definitely enjoys being dried off.
Trying on Dylans jumper, bit small and it makes him look like a right wally!
Dylans coat fits a bit better, he reminds me of the dog in Mary Poppins!
3rd October 2009. Bright Breeze VW show.
This is one of my favourite vw shows of the year, hundreds of classic vws parked-up along the seafront at Brighton. Bobby loves a good walk along the beach, even if it is very windy!
December 2010. More snow to play in, and a design fault becomes apparent!
